Moi university-A suspected thief escapes death narrowly.

A suspected thief allegedly accused of withdrawing ksh. 4000 from his roommate's M-pesa escaped comrades wrath after he was rescued by  the varsity security men.

The security men used a van to rescue the suspect before comrades were on him. The police were forced to use gun shots to scatter the comrades who had blocked the roads to prevent the rescue. This caused an unrest of two hours in the varsity.
Some students were injured during the unrest and were rushed to the varsity dispensary and later discharged.
Elsewhere, some other students were seen trying to escape the police gun shots through the windows of the hostel's third floor.
The suspect is still held by the police waiting trial. The Varsity security had not yet said anything as the story was reported.
